2. Information we collect
We practice data minimization and only collect data necessary for the App to function.
A. Information you provide to us
- Account Information: When you create an account via Apple Sign-In or email, we store your email address and a unique user ID to manage your profile, favorites, and subscription status.
- Profile Data: You may choose to provide a username or display name.
- User Suggestions: If you use the "Suggest Place" feature, we process the text information you submit about a pizzeria.
B. Information collected automatically
- Location Data (Core Location): The App uses your device's location services to sort pizza places by distance and provide navigation.
- Privacy Note: We do not store your location history or track your movements. Your location coordinates are sent to our backend solely to calculate distances relative to pizza places and are not persisted in our database logs.
- Usage Data: We use standard Apple APIs to ensure the app runs smoothly. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or Mixpanel) to track your behavior.
3. How we use your information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
- Manage your "Supporter" subscription status.
- Enable features like "Favorites" and "Visited Places" synchronized across your devices.
- Calculate distances to the nearest pizzerias.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Data storage and third parties
We use trusted third-party services to operate the App. These partners are GDPR-compliant:
- Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and file storage. Your account data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
- Apple Services: We use Apple Maps for navigation and StoreKit for processing "Supporter" subscriptions.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR and strictly enforced by us, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Correct any inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your account and all associated data.
- In-App Deletion: You can delete your account directly within the App settings. This action is irreversible and immediately removes your personal data from our servers.
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

6. Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account via the App, your personal data (email, favorites, lists) is permanently removed from our database immediately.
7. Children's privacy
The App is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and secure token-based authentication (JWT) via Supabase.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
